Marissa Hastings is a native West Virginian. She is a CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1) Trainer and a certified Burgener Weight Lifting Coach. She initially started weightlifting in high school to get stronger for basketball. On her own, however, she continued to learn through high school and her time in college at Marshall University, where she earned a bachelors degree in Nutrition Sciences. It wasn’t until her introduction to CrossFit in 2018 that she really started to thrive. She has competed in multiple CrossFit competitions through out the surrounding areas, dominating the leaderboards.
Her favorite CrossFit movements are double-unders, chest to bar, and hang squat cleans. And, her least favorite is running. Her hobbies outside of CrossFit are watching multiple tv shows at once and being able to keep track of them all, playing basketball, and spending time with her family. Her future goals are to further her education in Nutrition for athletic performance and becoming an awesome weightlifting and CrossFit coach. She is really excited to help everyone hit big numbers in the gym.
